What’s Inside—and Why It’s Here
Naturally Derived Non-Nano Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite — Mineral support for enamel. Everyday acids can draw minerals out of the tooth’s outer surface. Hydroxyapatite is the same type of calcium-phosphate mineral that gives enamel its structure. In oral care, it can deposit on tooth surfaces and support remineralization—the replenishment of minerals in areas of early mineral loss. We chose it to give this formula an enamel-maintenance purpose alongside its cleansing ingredients.
Calcium Carbonate — Helps brush away surface buildup. Brushing needs an ingredient that does more than add flavor. Calcium carbonate provides a polishing action that helps loosen food residue and surface stains as the toothbrush moves across the teeth. Its role is mechanical cleaning: helping remove deposits from the outside of the tooth for a cleaner-feeling surface.
Bentonite Clay (Montmorillonite) — Helps the cleansing blend spread across teeth. When moistened, this clay takes up water and gives the loose powder body, helping the mineral ingredients stay together in a brushable mixture. That makes it easier to distribute the cleansing blend around the mouth instead of brushing with scattered dry particles. Its purpose here is the texture and delivery of the cleaning ingredients.
Organic Xylitol — Sweetness without feeding acid production like sugar. Some oral bacteria use ordinary sugar to produce acids that contribute to enamel mineral loss. Xylitol gives the powder a pleasant taste without serving as the same fermentable fuel. It is chosen for this tooth-friendly role as well as sweetness: making brushing more enjoyable without adding sugar to the formula.
Baking Soda — Cleansing plus acid neutralization. Baking soda helps loosen plaque and surface residue during brushing, while its alkalinity helps neutralize acids in the mouth. These are two distinct reasons for including it: assisting the toothbrush with everyday cleaning and helping counter the acidic conditions that draw minerals out of enamel.
Activated Coconut Charcoal — A surface-cleaning companion. Activated charcoal has a porous surface that can bind certain substances—a process called adsorption. We include it as a companion to the mineral polishing ingredients in the brushing blend, with surface residue and staining in mind. Its role is surface cleaning; the hydroxyapatite serves the separate purpose of enamel mineral support.
Zinc Oxide — Chosen to address the source of breath odor. Oral bacteria can produce sulfur-containing compounds responsible for unpleasant breath. Zinc is used in oral care because it can interact with these compounds and reduce their release as odor. We chose zinc oxide to give the formula a breath-care purpose beyond the pleasant taste of clove or peppermint.
Freshly Ground Cloves — Botanical cleansing and traditional gum comfort. Clove has long been used in traditional tooth and gum care for mouth freshness and soothing comfort. The whole ground bud supplies its naturally occurring aromatic oils, including eugenol, together with other plant constituents. Studies of clove preparations have shown activity against oral bacteria, helping explain its place in botanical mouth care. We chose freshly ground cloves to bring that traditional hygiene and gum-care purpose to the formula, along with a warm, aromatic finish.
Peppermint — Breath freshness, cooling comfort, and botanical hygiene. Peppermint’s naturally occurring aromatic constituents, including menthol, bring a cooling sensation and help freshen the mouth after brushing. Peppermint preparations have also shown activity against oral bacteria and the formation of bacterial films in laboratory studies. We chose it for its botanical mouth-care role as well as its refreshing character: a cooling, aromatic companion to the minerals that physically clean the teeth.

How To Use
Dip a clean toothbrush lightly into the powder and brush for two minutes. You may wet the brush first if desired. Spit out and rinse well; do not swallow.
